The brief

Earthen Lamp was invited to be part of this unique training opportunity for emerging producers and theatre-makers across the Midlands. We delivered a session titled Audiences and How to Reach Them. The session focussed on:

  • Planning and positioning for audience engagement
  • Understanding audiences
  • Working with venues
  • Gathering audience feedback

The activity

The hour-long session included a presentation followed by discussion and Q&A with participants. Approximately 20 participants took part in the session at Derby Theatre.

The outcome

The presentation was well received and sparked a lively Q&A amongst participants which fed into the next session that focused on development planning.
