UK Disability Arts Alliance

Founded in 2020 as an emergency response to the COVID19 pandemic, #WeShallNotBeRemoved – The UK Disability Arts Alliance is an intersectional forum to advocate, to campaign and support D/deaf, those with learning difficulties or disabilities, neurodivergent and disabled creative practitioners and organisations throughout and after COVID19.

In 2021 they released a report exploring the experiences of disabled people across the arts and cultural sector and how we might make practices more inclusive and accessible. They have also developed Seven Inclusive Principles for the industry’s recovery from COVID19. You can read the survey via the link below.

“The UK Disability Arts Alliance 2021 Survey Report is the first to focus specifically on the impact of the pandemic on disabled people and organisations in arts & culture. The survey reveals an alarmingly fragile cultural environment for disabled people, full of intersectional inequalities.”
