“I really enjoyed the session, not really having known what to expect, I found each point you made considered and useful. You have an easy going manner matched with a professional and vast knowledge of your research, this makes it all the more easy to understand and take in what you are saying. The session added a lot of clarity to something that can seemingly be overwhelming at times. The tasks you set instilled confidence and I felt I had learnt some useful ways to approach several problems not just for this current project.”
Meghan Allbright, Artist
In 2014 mac Birmingham hosted Artist Rooms on Tour, and worked with a group of young people to create a response to an exhibition by the artist Robert Therrien.
As part of this project mac commissioned two emerging practitioners to take a lead on evaluating the program. These were young artists who have previously been involved in other young people’s programs and were now looking to develop their practice and professional careers.
Evaluation training
May 2014
mac commissioned Earthen Lamp to deliver a one day workshop on creative evaluation for emerging practitioners . The training needed to have a specific focus on participatory project activity with young people.
