‘Monitoring and evaluation are a vital part for Creative Black Country, it’s a complex programme with activities on different scales and levels. Since May 2016 Earthen Lamp took what we had and overhauled it all, thus making what we do simpler and efficient. When on site at an event the team are extremely professional and people are really happy to share their feedback. Always available to help, go above & beyond.’

Sajida Carr, Programme Director, Creative Black Country.

The brief

Creative Black Country has commissioned Earthen Lamp to carry out a research based evaluation and impact study of the project over three years.

The activity

The activities included ascertaining and measuring the impact of Creative Black Country overall and its different strands of activities in the region. Overall the evaluation provides evidence against the aims of the project as set out by Arts Council England’s Creative People and Places and  informs future activities over the three year period.

Research activities include a range of qualitative and quantitative methods including large scale surveys, stakeholder interviews, observational research and discussion groups.
